Water Rights Analysis Package (WRAP) Modeling System

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

Manuals

WRAP is documented by six manuals that can be downloaded below as PDF files. The manuals are published as Texas Water Resources Institute (TWRI) technical reports (TRs) and are also available along with other TRs cited in the WRAP manuals at the TWRI website. Development, improvement, and expansion of WRAP has occurred over many years and versions. An Additions and Revisions Report describes the modifications to WRAP that have occurred over various periods of time.

Reference Manual  (TWRI TR-255, January 2021, 464 pages)

Users Manual  (TWRI TR-256, January 2021, 273 pages)

Fundamentals Manual  (TWRI TR-283, May 2019, 114 pages)

Daily Manual  (TWRI TR-430, January 2021, 346 pages)

Hydrology Manual  (TWRI TR-431, May 2019, 241 pages)

Salinity Manual  (TWRI TR-317, July 2009, 89 pages)

The concepts and methods covered in the manuals are illustrated by examples. The Fundamentals Manual is organized around an example applying the WRAP programs WinWRAP, SIM, and TABLES and the USACE Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC) program HEC-DSSVue. Some of the examples in the other manuals build upon and extend the example in the Fundamentals Manual. The input datasets for the examples in each of the manuals can be downloaded through the links provided below. In some cases other relevant datasets associated with the examples are included along with the input datasets for the WRAP programs. The first of the following links allows a compressed zip file containing all of the data files for the examples in all of the manuals to be downloaded together as a single zip file from a Microsoft OneDrive site. The other links allow individual data files in individual folders to be downloaded from the OneDrive site.
